On Tuesday 27 September 2022, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team at CF hosted a Macmillan coffee morning in our offices. Together we enjoyed many sweet treats baked by our staff alongside organically sourced and sustainable coffee.
The morning gave us an opportunity to reflect on the great work of charitable organisations such as Macmillan within the health and care sector, as well as consider how we can partner with such organisations in the future as part of our CSR agenda.
Macmillan understand the different ways that cancer can affect people’s lives and aim to do whatever they can to provide support for those who need it. Services are provided for people at every stage of their cancer journey through emotional, physical, practical, and financial support.
The Macmillan Coffee Morning started in 1990 with a group of colleagues meeting over a coffee break and donating the price of the coffee to Macmillan. Since then, it has become an annual event with over £290 million raised for Macmillan, helping to support those with cancer to live their life as fully as they can.
CF are proud to support this great cause, so far having raised over £370 at this year’s event. We are already looking forward to more sweet treats next year and expanding our CSR community engagement events to support more charities in the future!
